Halloween

INITIAL SITUATION AND OBJECTIVE

Halloween – an American tradition that found its place in European Lidl branches long ago. Everyone, whether young or old, can find delight in a spookily good Halloween night.

This is why Panama developed a campaign for Halloween 2015 which was both fun and a bit frightening at the same time.

IDEA AND IMPLEMENTATION

Under the slogan "Trick or treat", Halloween fans can find products that will get their pulses racing at Lidl: scary costumes, fun accessories and, of course, piles of sweets. Starring children dressed up in costumes, the

campaign depicting a typical American-style Halloween has been shown on a range of media, i.e. POS, online ads and television. There are two versions of the

TV advert – one for countries that focus on the fun factor of Halloween and one for the countries that prefer to experience the fear factor.

OBJECTIVE ACHIEVED

A mysterious house in the fog and kids in costumes looking for the yummiest sweets – our simple formula for a successful Halloween campaign. The fact that the Halloween

campaign ran in a variety of countries ranging from Finland to Spain confirms the success of our approach.
